Alexandra russell

(she/her)
President
Hi! I’m Alexandra, a second year Materials Scientist at Mansfield, and I am incredibly excited to be taking on the role of OUTTS President this year! I’ve had such an amazing experience in the theatre tech world so far, having worked on many shows, mainly in a lighting design capacity (however I have been known to take on side quests…). I want to be able to give as much support as I received from previous techies to anyone interested in getting involved; we need to ensure that student theatre remains an inclusive, welcoming and accessible space for everyone. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or anyone else on committee if you have any thoughts, feelings, concerns or suggestions - we are here to represent you after all!

Treasurer
Hi! I’m Meg, a second year Experimental Psychology student at St Catz. I’ve been involved with tech since school. Since coming to Oxford, I have dabbled in pretty much every department (but mostly stage management). I’m really excited to be on the committee this year, and I’m always happy to chat if you have any suggestions or questions!

Sarah Webb

(she/her)
secretary
Hello all! I’m Sarah, a second year Physics student at Balliol. I technically began doing tech at school, but I’ve fallen so much further down the rabbit hole since coming to Oxford - and learnt an awful lot along the way. I can usually be found in a theatre, making the lights turn on. I’m excited to join the committee this year, and join such a talented group of people. Please feel free to reach out anytime with suggestions and no question is too stupid or trivial!

Pep Oosterhuis

(they/them)
Hires Rep
Hi I'm Pep, a second year historian at Hertford. I've primarily worked in sound design and stage management, though I dabble in other areas as well. I've worked on many shows in Oxford (some might say too many) across all four main venues as well as a few unconventional ones. I can be found in the hires store at many points during the week, to the point where I'm beginning to wonder if I'm bound to it by some arcane mechanism. I'm very excited to work with our hires managers to offer the Oxford theater community aid with their technical and design visions.

Paddy Harmer

(he/him)
Hires Maintenance Rep
Hi! I'm Paddy, third year Maths and Computer Scientist at LMH. Since joining Oxford I have worked on many interesting and unique shows, ranging from Shakespeare to Playhouse musicals. My passion has always been for Stage Management and you will see me on many more shows to come. As Hires Maintenance rep, I will always be around to make sure our fabulous stock of equipment and props will be kept in the best condition.

Ben Watson

(he/him)
Freshers' & Training
Hi! I'm Ben, a 3rd year physicist at Univ. I've been involved in drama all through secondary school, and in my first two years at Oxford too, but all of that as an actor and musician. In my third year I wanted to explore crew roles instead, starting with sound and then stage managing, and found I loved it more than performing! I've absolutely loved exploring the different departments, and hopefully as Fresher's and Training rep I can help other people learn about them, and get involved too!

Seaky Shu

(she/her)
Social Secretary
Seaky is a first-year music student at Jesus College. Before coming to university, she worked as a stage director for more than four years and as a touring assistant in China since 2023. She is also a music producer and sound engineer, mainly writing and producing rock and pop music. Seaky has begun her Oxford theatre journey as ASM for Little Shop of Horrors and TD for the Jesus Chapel play Krapp’s Last Tape. She is also involved as SM in The Two Noble Kinsmen, SM in Guys and Dolls, and SM in The Moro Affair. Seaky is very excited to be the Social Secretary for the OUTTS committee this year and looks forward to organising fabulous social events in the future.

Josh Flanagan

(he/him)
welfare
I’m Josh, a second-year Music student at Oriel, and I’ve spent most my time in OUTTS fulfilling welfare roles. As a result, I still frequently feel out of my depth when surrounded by so many amazing and knowledgable techies; so if Oxford drama seems like a lot, you aren’t alone! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you've got any concerns, questions, or comments. I am always looking for an excuse to have a chat instead doing my degree!

Lucian Ng

(he/him)
Liaisons Officer
Hi! My name is Lucian and I am a second year music student at St Hugh’s. In theatre I’ve been heavily involved as a sound designer and composer (quite often both at once!) but I am also an orchestral musician and more recently a creative in student magazines and exhibitions. I’m now interested in taking up more organisational and multidisciplinary roles such as production and creative direction. As Liaisons Officer, I hope to keep OUTTS well connected with other societies in Oxford so that technical support for their productons can always be provided if necessary! As I take up similar roles in music and arts societies across the university, I hope to foster closer relationships between all artistic and technical student societies here.

Inés Buetow

(she/her)
IT / Webmaster
Hiya, I'm Inés and I'm currently doing my DPhil researching material reuse in film & TV production. Although I'm fairly new to tech, everyone has been so welcoming and enthusiastic about creating live performances together that I was hooked in the blink of an eye :) I'd definitely encourage any beginners to come to our workshops and events, even if just to try out something new - you might be pleasantly surprised !

Gabby Panova

(she/her)
Hires Manager
Hi! I'm Gabby, a first year PPE student at Oriel, and I'll be one of the hires managers this year. Theatre has always fascinated me and even though I've only been involved since quite recently, Oxford been an incredible opportunity to get introduced to the basics (and beyond!) Collaborating with fellow theatre-lovers and witnessing breathtaking shows built entirely on the dedication of student techies, actors, directors, producers and writers have been the highlights of my time here. I'm looking forward to helping ensure that the hires store provides student productions with the best possible support. Also a big Hamilton fan - challenge me if you dare!
