Guide to the Hires Store
WHAT IS THE STORE?
The hires store is a building where OUTTS keeps lighting and sound equipment, props, setpieces, and costume to rent to Oxford student productions at a below-market rate. For any hires-related enquiries, please email hires@outts.org.
OPENING HOURS
Our opening hours are 10-11am for pickups on Mondays and 2-3pm for returns on Sundays.
FAQ
As we have recently migrated to this portal, we are in the process of uploading photographs for each listing. If you would like to know more about an item, please drop us an email and we will do our best to help. You are also welcome to come by during regular opening hours to have a look at our stock; just give us a heads-up email :)
Out-of-hours openings can be arranged here for a £15 fee. Please give at least 48 hours notice; remember that the store is not professionally run but opened by committee members volunteering their time.
If you attempt to hire an item for Monday-Monday or similar, you will notice the price increasing to two weeks' rental as this prevents another show from hiring the item for the next week.
In exceptional cases where you need a Sunday pickup/Monday return and have communicated with the show wanting the same item the week before/after about a smooth transition, drop us an email and we can try to work things out.

We will send you an invoice through email, payable through bank transfer.
FINDING THE STORE
We are in the old observatory building at the back of Oxford University Security Services (OUSS), OX1 3RQ, between the Henry Wellcome building and Rodney Porter building.
Navigate on Maps to any of the above, or look for the passageway between Sherrington Rd and Darlington Link - the big dome should be unmissable! Below is an embedded street view, or if that doesn't work, a screenshot of exactly where we are on Maps.
