Lighting Workshop
with Tilly Jackson-Long (Burton-Taylor Studio Assistant)
Learn about all things lights and lighting
Ever wanted to learn about lighting? This workshop with Tilly (BT studio assistant) will cover all the information you need to know to get started with lighting design and tech in student theatre. From the types of lights available to design considerations, this workshop has it all. It’s the perfect opportunity for beginners and anyone new to theatre to learn more, and will also be helpful to any directors wanting to incorporate lights into their creative vision. In addition to live demonstrations of a working rig from a show, this workshop has some hands on elements, and we encourage everyone to give it a go!
Because of space constraints, this workshop has a limit of 15 signups. Anyone who signs up after the limit is reached will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if spaces become available. We are also reserving some tickets for freshers in order to enable those new to Oxford Drama to participate.
About Tilly: Tilly currently works at the Oxford Playhouse as the BT studio assistant, and is a freelance lighting designer. She recently graduated from St Anne’s college, and during her time as a student was the president of OUTTS and did lighting design on many student productions, including Jekyll and Hyde (Oxford Playhouse, HT25), Ghost Quartet (Pilch, MT24), The Mad Ones (Pilch, TT24), and Phantom of the Opera (O’Reilly, HT 24).
